What You Get and What You Need
GSASERBuilder delivers your finished project as a single .ser restore file. This file already holds your unique articles, email accounts, scraped images, anchor-text groups, GSA linking tokens, platform selections, filters, and all the content and project settings. You do not build anything by hand — you simply load it into your own copy of GSA Search Engine Ranker.
One thing to remember: GSA Search Engine Ranker is not included in your order. You need your own working copy of the software installed on your computer or VPS before you can restore the file.
Step 1 — Download the .ser File
When your order is ready, download the .ser file from your account or the delivery link. Save it somewhere easy to find, such as your Desktop or a dedicated 'GSA Projects' folder.
- Keep the file name as it is — do not rename it in a way that removes the .ser ending.
- If the file arrives inside a .zip, unzip it first so you can see the .ser file itself.
- Make a quick backup copy so you always have the original.
Step 2 — Right-Click Inside GSA SER and Restore
Open GSA Search Engine Ranker. In the main project list area (the large panel that shows your projects), right-click to open the menu.
Move to the backup option in that menu and choose to restore projects. GSA SER will ask you to pick a file — browse to the .ser file you downloaded and select it.
- The exact wording can differ slightly between GSA SER versions, but you are looking for the 'Restore Projects' choice under the right-click menu.
- Select your .ser file, then confirm. Your new project will appear in the project list.
Step 3 — Review Before You Run
Before starting anything, open the restored project and look through it. This is your project, so take a moment to check that everything matches what you expect.
A quick review helps you feel confident and lets you adjust any settings to fit your own campaign.
- Check the target URLs, anchor text, and any extra data (YouTube, image URLs, or social links) you asked for.
- Confirm your email accounts are present and look correct.
- Adjust proxies, thread limits, and scheduling to match your own setup and preferences.
- Review the platform selections and filters if you want to fine-tune them.
Step 4 — Deploy Your Project
Once you are happy with the review, you are ready to go live. Right-click the project (or use the main controls) and start it so GSA SER begins working through the project.
From here, GSA Search Engine Ranker runs the campaign using the content and settings already built into your restore file. Keep an eye on the log for the first while to make sure everything is running smoothly.
Troubleshooting Tips
Most restores work on the first try. If something does not look right, these quick checks usually solve it.
- Project does not appear? Make sure you chose 'Restore Projects' and pointed GSA SER to the correct .ser file, not a .zip.
- Emails not logging in? This is often a proxy or connection setting on your side — check your proxies and internet connection in GSA SER options.
- Nothing happens when you start it? Confirm the project is set to 'Active' and that your global settings (threads, proxies) are configured.
- Still stuck? Reach out through the website contact form or on Telegram @Royalmice and we will help you get it running.
